- Jennifer Brenner: Reading Specialist
My Name is Jennifer Brenner, and I am a Reading Specialist at Tally Elementary. I work with small groups of students throughout the day to help them develop proficient reading skills that will improve their academic growth. I provide differentiated instruction based on what each student needs to be successful. We work on letter names, letter sounds, decoding words, reading strategies, and fluency.
I grew up in Houston and attended Texas State University in San Marcos. I taught first grade for 26 years and this is my 7th year as a Reading Specialist. I have had extensive training in dyslexia, phonics, and reading. I am special education certified. My personal goal is to instill a love of reading in our students. If you ever have questions or concerns, please let me know. I look forward to a wonderful year.

- Sandra Klein: 2nd Grade Teacher
I am Sandra Klein, born and raised in Kerrville. I graduated from Tivy and am very much an Antler. TFND! I am a first-generation college graduate, both my parents attended Tivy, and did not graduate because during their time getting a job and helping the family was more important. Growing up, my parents engrained in our hearts that “Education is the key.” Those words became my light to ignite the God given talents of love for children, learning, laughing and teaching. This is my 28th year in the classroom. I have experience from kindergarten to teaching future teachers in college. Every year is like my first filled with excitement and nervousness. The only difference is I know that this is where God wants me and I continue to learn to be a better teacher and person each day from your child. The most important lesson I live by in the classroom is you take care of the heart and head; the academics will come.
By us teaming together, we are building for today and tomorrow, a successful lifelong problem-solving thinker.

- Bridgette Michon: 5th Grade ELAR/SS Teacher
I've been teaching English Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies for 23 years. I just celebrated 20 years with KISD. I spent 13 years in 5th grade at Nimitz, 7 years at BTW/HPMS, and now I'm a Tally Eagle. I LOVE learning and everything to do with school. School supplies are just a few of my addictions. I've been married to the love of my life for 30 years. We currently only have one dog (hoping for more soon), Tootie. Our favorite things are to travel, hike, kayak, read, and spend time with family and friends. I believe that God has called me to be a light of learning for the young people in our community, so being a teacher is my ministry. I'm honored and blessed to be able to do what I love in the beautiful town of Kerrville.
Blessings,
B.Michon

Welcome! My name is Megan Nichols. I’m so excited to be a part of your school family this year! I grew up here in the Texas Hill Country where I attended school in Utopia and graduated in 2010. In May of 2014, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Applied Learning and Development. I obtained my Masters of Education from Schreiner University in 2020. This is my 10th year teaching and my 6th year in KISD.
My husband is a great teacher’s assistant and is very supportive of what i do. We have a daughter named Annelise and a son named Liam. We are also parents to three cats. We love spending our spare time outdoors, swimming, and going to Lake LBJ.
I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn in an nurturing environment that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. I value teaching students the importance of taking risks and empowering students to have a growth mindset. I’m passionate about fostering a love for learning, as well as developing a close-knit community among the students in the classroom. I look forward to partnering with you to make this the best year yet!
