Meet Your Counselor

Hello, Tally Eagles!

My name is Tami Bocanegra, and I am truly honored to serve as the school counselor at Tally Elementary. I have been in education for 23 years, during which I spent many rewarding years teaching third-grade reading and serving as a second-grade self-contained teacher.

At Tally Elementary, we follow the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs. My role is to provide education, prevention, and intervention services that support every student’s academic success. I also work with students to strengthen their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, helping them grow into confident critical thinkers and effective problem solvers.
